Based in Wollongong NSW, just south of Sydney, Neil Taylor has had several years of live music experience in a variety of public, corporate and formal settings, along with venue residencies. He has founded, managed and played in several creative projects, including the Doux Ame Music and the critically acclaimed 12 piece Sweet Home Chicago Blues Brother Show Band. Neil is currently freelancing as a live session musician, while also specialising in background piano music for corporate events and formal occasions, and can provide ensembles with vocals, saxophone, guitar etc.
Neil has played at an extensive range of venues, including Wollongong Entertainment Centre, Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, Wollongong Novotel lobby bar (2 year residency), The Grange (Kembla Grange), Anita’s theatre (Thirroul), Wollongong Waves TBH, The Actors Centre (Sydney), Heritage Hotel (Bulli), Brass Monkey (Cronulla), The Basement (Canberra), Dapto Leagues Club, Central Hotel (Shellharbour), The Australian Golf Club (Sydney), Crooked River Wines (Gerringong), Bella Char Restaurant (Gerringong) (1 year residency), the Robertson Hotel, Coolengatta Estate, Terrara House (Nowra), Bundanon Art Gallery, Kembla Grange Turf racetrack, Worrigee Growers (Shoalhaven), Figbird Cottage (Nowra), Table 426 Restaurant, Mittagong RSL, St George Motor Boat club, Foundry 616, Bella Vista Hotel, Club Cronulla, Sussex Inlet RSL, Wollongong Novotel Northbar and the Hooks piano bar – Points Point Sydney.
In addition, Neil has also experience with sound production for small bands/events and Audio Visual services for small to medium sized corporate functions, as well as some occasional graphic design.
